A B O U T
Tal was born in Kingston, Jamaica (St. Andrews) and is of African, Portuguese(Sephardic), Chinese(Hakka) and Scottish descent. At age nine Tal and family moved to the States- first to Jamaica, Queens(NYC) for several years, before relocating to Miami, Florida.
An alumnus of University of Florida (in conjunction with New World School of The Arts), in/around 2001, Tal became an active artist, arts organizer and educator in the Miami art scene. In 2007, Tal’s work was published in the "Miami Contemporary Artist" book- considered amongst 100 other significant artists who contributed to the emergence of the Miami art movement, which has generated international recognition and hosted Art Basel for over 2 decades.
In 2009, Tal gained his MFA degree from Transart Institute, a residency art program at affiliated sites: Austria, NYC, Berlin, and the U.K. The opportunity to study abroad ignited in him offered him the urge to travel to other countries, such as Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Italy, and Croatia to name a few. Tal's travel experiences, in turn, influenced his work and overall outlook.
In 2011, Tal accepted a position as Head of Art at an International institution in Shenzhen, China- initially, to fulfill a one-year contract, yet spent almost a decade in China's education sector also consulting international scholars to embrace their creative pursuits and gain acceptance into prestigious universities and art colleges in America.
Currently, Tal is engaged in the Crypto and NFT spaces both as an investor and creator primarily showing photography and time-based media pieces. View here:  foundationexchange.art, and opensea platforms.
